Privacy Policy
Introduction
F&M Mortgage Group respects your
financial privacy and we comply with all federal and state
laws and regulations designed to ensure that privacy.
Your relationship with F&M Mortgage Group is important
and we want to affirm out continuing commitment to the
proper use of customer information, which we have or may
gather in the normal course of business. We will generally
keep this information about you confidential, but may
share the information about you with our business partners
as described below in order to provide better service
to you.
Information About You
F&M Mortgage Group collects, retains
and uses information about individual customers only when
we believe it would be useful (and allowed by law) in
administering our business and to provide products, services,
and other opportunities to customers. This information
is obtained from application information, transaction
information, and consumer report information.
Safeguarding Information About You
Information that we have about you is available to our
employees and agents on a "need to know" basis.
We prohibit our employees and agents from giving information
about you to anyone in any manner that would violate any
applicable law or our privacy policy. We do not provide
information about you to anyone without first verifying
who they are and whether they may have legal access to
the information. We train our employees to protect the
information that we have about you. We also have a disaster
preparedness program to secure this information in case
of natural disasters, hazards or other threats. Our security
and confidentiality procedures are routinely tested to
make sure that they work. Employees who violate this Privacy
Policy will be subject to disciplinary measures.
Account Numbers/Account Codes
We will not disclose your account number or access code
for a transaction account to a nonaffiliated third party
in order for them to sell you products or services. We
may give your account number or access code to consumer
reporting agencies because we are allowed or are required
to do so by law.
Information Sharing/Agent Nonaffiliated Third Parties
We share customer information with service providers who
assist us in servicing customer accounts and preparing
and/or delivering Mortgage Company services and products
to our customers. Examples of such providers include home
equity check printers; mortgage payment facilitators;
and credit reporting agencies. This sharing is permitted
by law such agents are required to keep confidential any
information about you that we have given them.
Information Sharing/Non-Agent Nonaffiliated Third Parties
F&M Mortgage Group will use a customer's
personal identifying information in our normal course
of business. Nonpublic personal financial information
will not be sold or distributed to other parties for marketing
purposes.
Ending Customer Relationships
When you end your customer relationship with us we will
treat the information we have about you as if you were
still our customer.
F&M Mortgage Group recognizes and respects the privacy
expectations of our customers. We want our customers to
understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer
information. As a result of our commitment, we have developed
this Privacy Policy, which has been made readily available
to our customers. |
